The default dashboard

The Analytics page has a default dashboard that contains the following data (varies according to your item form:

  • Items per user chart

  • Trending tags word cloud

  • Trending topics word cloud

  • Plan vs Actual charts

  • Pie and column charts

 

The default dashboard can’t be edited. You can create your own customized dashboard by clicking Create Dashboard*. To learn more about creating dashboards and charts, see our Create Dashboards guide.

*Creating dashboards is an advanced option

💡Tip: you can right-click on any piece of data and:

  1. Show items:
    Will show all the items related to the data

  2. Use as a filter:
    Will use filter the Analytics page according to the data

 

Items per user chart
This chart shows the number of items written by each user, over the selected time period.

Use the 3 dots menu to add an average line:

Right-click on a column to see the related items, or filter according to the column’s data:

Trending tags word cloud
Allows you to quickly see which tags appear more frequently in the items. In this chart, the weight of each word will be proportional to its frequency.

Right-click on a tag to see the related items, or filter according to the tag’s data.

 

Trending topics word cloud
Allows you to quickly see which topics appear more frequently in the items. In this chart, the weight of each word will be proportional to its frequency.

Right-click on a topic to see the related items, or filter according to the topic’s data.

 

Plan vs Actual Charts
If your work involves reporting the actual and target data, you may find it useful to present the actual values versus the target values in a chart in Shamaym*.

For example, you can show the actual sales values versus the target sales values or the progress of the residents in their training compared to their goals.

*The charts will appear only if there are fields with goals in the item’s form. To learn more about the item’s form editor, see our guide about it.

Right-click on a cell to see the related items, or filter according to the cell’s data.

 

Pie and column charts

The pie and column charts show the distribution of the answers to the items’ closed-ended fields.

Dropdown, checkboxes, single choice, and user list fields will appear as pie charts.

Numeric and scale fields will appear as column charts.

Right-click on a column/ piece to see the related items, or filter according to its data.

Click on the 3 dots menu to show/hide the percentage & numbers in the pie charts. By default, it is hidden. If you change the default, it will be saved for next time.

  1. Click on the 3 dots menu
  2. Click on Show data labels
    The labels of the percentage & numbers will appear.

  3. To hide it, click on the 3 dots menu and click on Hide data labels
