Create a new discussion

Create a new discussion quickly in just 3 easy steps.

  1. Open the Discussion page.

  2. Click on the “Create new” button.

Step 1

  1. Pick workspace/s and a time frame (your choice will apply to all other steps)

  2. You may edit this discussion’s title

  3. Click “Next”

 

Step 2

Select the analytics you’d like to show and discuss in this discussion. Just mark/ unmark the checkbox/es and click Next. It’s possible that there is no available data for the selected time frame and/ or workspaces.

The charts that you can select

Items per user: The number of items written by each member during the defined time frame.

Usage Stats: The number of items, active users, and comments during the defined time frame, compared with the previous time frame.

Champion Users: members who have the highest engagement in Shamaym.

Trending tags: The most common tags used by members.

Trending topics: The most common topics discussed in items by members.

Pie charts: A breakdown of responses to all the closed-ended fields in the defined time frame

 

Step 3

Select the items you’d like to show and discuss in this learning. By default, it will present the items of the selected workspace/s, and within the time frame you picked, but you can change it if you’d like.

How?

  1. Mark the checkboxes of the items you’d like to discuss (clicking on the item will open its preview).

  2. It will then appear on the list, where you can drag and drop items to reorder them.

Finding items easily

You can search items by keywords in the search bar.

You can also sort items by:

  • Creation date

  • Relevance

Or show only:

  • The most trending items

  • The items with the most popular topics

  • The items with the most popular tags

  • Collaborative items

  • Items you starred

Click Save & Close

Now, your Discussion is created.

On the main page, you can see the discussions which you or your teammates have created. You can edit and delete some of them and can view them by clicking on them.
